Rotation 6: Chapter 2: The Alston's

 

    The Alston's got 5,000 by finally starting their business plus the leftover money from when Quincy moved in. They got a second story upgrade(but it is not fully decorated at this time).

    A fire hit the Alston's as Quincy was cooking up some food. Majority of the kitchen was lost and they could not replace majority of it. Sadly a life was taken....the life of Quincy Mace. A sim who moved here to marry a widow and provide his own daughter with a mother and her kids with a father. Quincy and Isabel were both fond of each other and had a good union. He was buried at St. Margaret's Parish next to the other dead 3 members of the Alston family. The whole family has taken it hard as Isabel is once again widowed and all the kids in the household were good friends with him. Victoria Mace in particular has taken it hard without a mother and father she is very fortunate that Isabel loves Victoria like one of her own. The family is 100% in need of funds as they need a new kitchen, need to decorate the upstairs, and still have dreams of a store. As well as dowries for Victoria and Magdalena plus the inheritance for Miles. Even though they are in mourning Isabel realizes how important it is that Magnus marries Lucille Jankel so she can bring in her dowry of 15,000. 

It seems whenever things are starting to look up for the Alston family things bring them down. Miles Alston, the second son of the family as died of malnourishment in the night. Only a day after Isabel's second husband's death her second son has died. She personally now as had four people of her family die with both her husbands, daughter Maria, and now her son Miles. With his death ends the dream of him opening a cheese business. 

    Poor Isabel...generation one has definitely had it hard. She has truly realizes life is short and knows it is top concern for her three kids to get married. 

    Catheryn Newton came over to visit Isabel. She and Isabel had a good chat and actually smiled despite the death of her son and second husband. Little did she know that Catheryn has an ulterior motive.......

    Isabel still holds a tight grip on the business despite the owner of the business(her son) being a teenager. She just wants him to have fun plus she needs something to do!

 Thanks to a rank 3 business the family has been able to have some purchases! Like a piano...The girls especially could not wait to play getting into a fight over who can go first!

    Magdalena has aged up into an adult! She is a family sim but it looks like no marriage is in sight for her so she is hoping that a family will be looking for a servant soon!

    With his stepfather being deceased, Magnus has decided and wanted to step up in regards to the cows. They really hope that they can open up a storefront soon but life is always crazy for this family!

    Magnus James Alston and Lucille Marie Jankel got wed in the evening with all the Alston's, Lucille's siblings as her mother was stuck home with a baby, and Catheryn Newton present. Her father, the Parson was trying not to shed a tear but Lucille saw the few he did shed! She is so excited to spend her life as the wife of the man she loves. 

    Isabel invited Catheryn over again as she really wants to find a friend in Catheryn. The two women have much to relate on and seem to be very compatible friend wise. But Catheryn has finally decided to strike up a conversation she has wanted to for some time...

    "My eldest son and your step-daughter Victoria seem to be good friends. Do you agree?," Catheryn asked.

    "I do agree, Victoria really looks up to him...much like she looks up to her brothers. Well brother now but still," Isabel said rather glum realizing that her precious Miles was forever gone. 

    "Well Thomas has a strong interest in her. He would like to marry her and make her his wife," Catheryn told Isabel trying to deflect around Isabel's emotions. 

    "I think that would be very partial. Just I do not have much of a dowry to provide her with as we hope to open a storefront!," Isabel told Catheryn.

    "That shall be no problem at all," Catheryn assured Isabel. Catheryn was so happy she could get her eldest son a wife who she liked and he would love. Even though she was fearful of how Isabel said Thomas was like a brother to her...but maybe she was just wrong. Isabel was so relieved that Victoria would be secured in a rising family and that Victoria could remain safe and stable. Now all she had left on her list of worries was Magdalena who had no husband in sight or anything.. 

    After their long talk about Thomas and Victoria, Isabel realized she felt something she had never really experienced before she could not figure out what this feeling was. She and Catheryn have almost been seeing each other daily for tea and chatting but one night after showing Catheryn the cows. Isabel told Catheryn about her strange feeling and then Catheryn said the same thing. Then within only a few seconds they shared a kiss. It also felt like an awakening for Isabel she was just so shocked but she could not help herself she felt so connected, and that is when she realized the word LOVE is what that feeling was. This type though was not the kind she was used to with her kids or husband. This felt deep and freeing. You could say she felt it through her whole body!

    And then they both gave in to their desires and passion...............

This is Alston Dairy! Has a general store room and then a side room for seating! Isabel is so proud to see the future of her family flourish due to this store!
