Mini Chapter~Meet the De Blanc's

This house belongs to the De Blanc family. The De Blancs are French Protestants of African descent. They owned a winery in France and were very successful but due to competition the family decided to move to Alfreda Isle where they could be the only wine suppliers.

This is an image of De Blanc winery. Many of the other families are curious about this new family that nobody invited. And the question of their wealth and personalities? The De Blancs do appear to be very rich though which the Mayor despises as he loved being the richest in town.

This is the matriarch of the De Blanc family. Marie-Cerise came from a strict merchant family who loved acting like they were the finest. Marie-Cerise went to finishing school and could speak French(obviously as that was her first language), English, and Italian. She was skilled at the harp so when she met Mr. Henri De Blanc he knew she would be perfect wife material for a successful wine man like himself. They fell in love and had a happy marriage till his death left behind a winery, a widow, and a five-year-old son. Many competitors believed it was over for the De Blanc's as Marie-Cerise was too feminine. But little did they know she had a head for business and the wine business flourished until in a massive flood wiped them out. At that point her son was a grown man of 21 years. He then married a girl who's dowry included four small local wineries. With these wineries, the de Blancs rebuilt but they never did as good as before the flood and then competition became too much thus making them move to Alfreda Isle.

This is Jean-Luc De Blanc and his wife, Marie-Louise. Jean-Luc was the one who made the final decision to leave France. He decided to sell off the four small wineries and announced to his family one night that it was all decided. His wife was depressed as she loved her life in France. But then realized that this opportunity could secure the future of her family with being the biggest winery owners in East England.

These are the two sons of the De Blanc family. Gaspard(right) is the heir to the family and a very cocky man. He was upset that he had to leave his numerous mistresses but knew that this move would only make him a more successful and rich man when he was family head. His younger brother, Francois by only 11 months is a very kind gentle young man who liked the idea and seems to love helping with the winery more than his brother. The two are very close and shockingly the whole family are a very close unbroken unit.
